Writing Resources
Home ] [ Writing Resources ] [ Style Manual ] [ Plain English Guide ] [ Concise Writing Guide ] [ Writing Bookshelf ] [ What's New ]

Online since Nov. 1, 1997 but deactivated April 16, 2019, Garbl's Writing Resources Online featured websites focusing on English grammar, concise writing, word play, the writing process, style and usage, words, plain language, action writing, creativity, and reference sources. You'll also find lists of websites on punctuation, overcoming writer's block, avoiding bias, spelling and vocabulary, and writing for the web.

PLEASE NOTE: I have retired, happily, in Port Townsend, Washington. I and am no longer adding writing resources to any of the sections in this site or updating their links and information. But please continue to visit and use my free Editorial Style and Usage Manual, Consise Writing Guide and Plain English Writing Guide. I update their content occasionally.

I can't endorse all the standards, guidelines and links on websites in this directory. Garbl's Writing Resources Online was rated one of the "101 Best Web Sites for Writers" by Writer's Digest in 2001 and 2000.
